I'm definitely feeling a little bright and cheerful with this outfit, how could you not? What with the neon bright jacket and equally bright shoes! I love how the colours combine with the muted boyfriend jeans, white vest and bag- it offsets them perfectly! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

My cable hookup was a big fail so it won't be installed until this Thursday so no posts until I get internet in my apartment. At least I'll have TV for the hockey playoffs.

Pastels

Mint and lilac paired together...what could be prettier? I love the pastel trend, and so I decided to pair my lovely oversized mint jumper from Zara with my lilac skinnies for a pastel match made in heaven:) I also adore this scarf, it's such a great piece for winter- especially when you want to add a pop of colour to an otherwise muted outfit.

Red Tartan

These tartan pants are just stunning, I absolutely love the dark colour tones- it's perfect for a winter look. I decided to wear a vibrant red knit to bring out the subtle hints of red in the pants, along with my Zara loafers for an added edge! I really love the fit of the pants too, the shorter length is perfect to show off any shoe :)

So I'm moved into my new place sort of. There's boxes everywhere and I have to get things sorted out before my cable/internet is hooked up tomorrow morning. Blogging will resume once I have internet connection at home.

But today I'm wearing my Charlotte Taylor ant dress (last worn here) and my Fly London shoes (last worn here). Totally Buggy!

Striped Shirt

This may be one of my last 'summery' outfits until next summer comes around, the weather has definitely turned chilly in the past few days! :(

 I wore this outfit last week, the striped shirt is perfect for slouchy days and I love how it looked combined with simple white shorts. I also loved how the silver ballet pumps seemed to pop against the softer tones of the other items!

When you feel my heat, Look into my eyes

I didn't really feel like blogging on Friday so this is a delayed outfit post. First thing though, Shelley let me know what the Vintage Show TO blog posted a picture of us from the Vintage Clothing Show we went to last weekend. It's a pretty good shot of us. :)

I decided to go casual on Friday, or as casual as I can go.

Lacy socks! I was a little cold since the weather here has been topsy turvy. One day it will be 21C and then next it will be snowing.  It snowed yesterday and this is how I felt about it.
















I guess it shouldn't surprise me. Spring is always volatile in Canada. I remember in 1997 it snowed on my birthday, in the middle of May.

On Friday I picked up the keys to my new place. I still do not have a firm date for when my stuff will be arriving but it was loaded onto a truck on Friday. Here's hoping it's before Wednesday.

I went in yesterday and measured and tried to visualize my stuff in the space. Really it will just be shoes here, shoes there, shoes EVERYWHERE.

This is the "bedroom". It's really a bachelor but there's a movable wall that the previous tenant moved into a very awkward spot. I'll have the movers move it more closely to that pole.

This is the walk in closet. I might need to install another bar to accommodate my clothes.

This is the kitchen space as seen from the stairs that lead down into the apartment. The stove is tiny but I'm pretty sure I could cook a turkey in it. The window there makes it bright but I'm going to need a few more lamps than the 2 I have packed with my stuff. It's a gas stove too which I am luckily used to since my parents have one.

That's the movable wall. I think I'm going to put my TV in that little alcove part and move that wall back and get a couch for this space. I have a coffee table and a few storage unit thingies so I'm going to wait until all my stuff arrives before buying anything.

It's not much but it's mine.

I <3 U Sweater-Mr.Price/Dream Graphic Sweater-Mr.Price/Jacket, Knits and Boots-Mr.Price/Beanies-Cotton On and Woolworths/Quilted sweater- Country Road

Now that we're slowly but surely heading into winter, I suddenly found the need (urge?..hehe) to head out and buy some sweaters and winter items. I fell in love with this striped knit when I saw it, I love navy and white stripes- and the print is so sweet too! I also adore the graphic sweater, the saying is so true :) And of course, a big chunky knit is perfect for those cold days, and I love the cobalt blue and khaki- they're such gorgeous colours. One thing that I've been looking forward to in winter is beanies, especially ones with the little bobble detail...I can't wait to wear them! This quilted sweater is perfect for a chilly day, I love the quilted effect. And finally the jacket and boots immediately caught my eye because of their subtle details, I adore the cuff detail on the boot- it adds something different to an otherwise plain black boot. And the jacket is lovely with the leather sleeves and cute pockets on the front!
