I love the androgynous feel to this outfit, the simple touches of the socks paired with the boots and the oversized coat are what give this look an edgier feel! I fell in love with this jumper when I saw it, the soft grey tone along with the studded shoulder detail drew me in completely! And of course I'm head over heels for these Chelsea boots-they are definitely a favourite of mine for winter.

Graphic Tee and Studded Flats

I've been mad about graphic tee's lately, they add a fun twist to an ordinary tee and finish any outfit off perfectly. This one is stunning paired under a black blazer (with faux leather lapels) and boyfriend jeans, the print peeking out from beneath the jacket is gorgeous! I finished it off with simple studded flats.

Floral Jumper

Feeling very wintery in this outfit, the floral jumper is so pretty yet wonderfully cozy! It went perfectly with simple black skinny jeans, cut out boots (which I'm obsessed with) and my navy toggle coat to finish the look off.  The colours in the jumper are stunning- it's such a deep colour palette, perfect for a chilly fall or winters day!

Leather Skirts and Black Capes

Totally obsessed with this faux leather skirt, I adore the pleats and how versatile a piece it is! 

I paired it with my black cape which I got a while ago and I loved how it turned out, it especially looked stunning with my patent brogues which seemed to add a cute unexpected pop in textures! 

For me, this is a great winter's outfit- warm yet it still looks chic and put together :)

A blog first!

A first on the blog today. I'm wearing the same shoes that I wore yesterday. GASP!  I KNOW! It's unprecedented.

Apparently it is also the first time I've worn this skirt on the blog. I've had it for a few years so I find that strange. I just looked through my flickr photos too see if it appears there but I apparently doesn't. Hunh.

It's pretty flouncy and I like the way it goes with my kitten heels.

My lace vest doesn't show up at all in these photos. I'll have to wear it again when I'm wearing a lighter coloured shirt.

On Monday, White Lies, my second favourite band (after Duran Duran, of course) released their third album. Apparently only in the UK since my iTunes says it won't be out until August 20th. Not sure why in this day and age of digital music that we continue to have separate release dates. It's maddening!

I wasn't entirely sure about this shoe choice but they were quite popular at work so I guess they were ok.

This dress is really more of a winter dress since it has velvety fabric but I've kind of been in a black mood.

On Friday I went a little casual. More casual than I usually do.

And today was another blackish day.

New shoooooes! On Friday I stopped at Fluevog on my way home intending to just pet the new velvety boots (the blue, so gorgeous) and of course I ended up trying on a few pairs. Surprisingly, I loved these the most.

I've said this before but I'm a sucker for straps and buckles.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that I liked these so much. They are my dream shoe from the 1980s that I never would have been allowed to have. Pointy toe? check. Straps? check. Buckles? check. Gothy? check check.

I'm not usually a kitten heel fan but these are delightful!
