A week's worth of outfits

I'm going to have to change up my usual blog "format" to handle a week's worth of photos.

Thank you to Ariane of Style Sud Est for reminding me that I don't have to say something prophetic every time I do a post. I just need to be myself and Have Fun! That's going to be my weekend theme. It's Pride week here in Toronto and tomorrow I'm going to watch the parade with my Pride Guide who may or may not be helping me get some photos with the Traveling Yellow Skirt.

Anyway, on with the cavalcade of  clothing. For some reason I didn't take photos on Monday...

June 25

Top: anthropologie (last worn here)
Skirt: Studio Gang (last worn here)
Shoes: Kate Spade from David's Footwear

My coworkers wanted to steal these from me. I've not really been a big fan of the metal toed shoes but I loved that these are navy blue, which is a colour that can be very hard to find. I think these are shoes that will be in my wardrobe for a long time.

June 26

Hello colour! I naturally seem to pair these shoes with this dress.

Dress: Heartbreaker (last worn here)
Shoes: Fluevog Pin-ups | Miss April (last worn with this dress)

I'm wearing this dress right now in fact!

The belt is from another dress which I may or may not have gotten rid of when I moved. I should look for it...hmmmm

June 27

I wore a very similar dress the next day. This time with birds. And a bird pin

 Dress: Heartbreaker (last worn here)
Belt: Megan Mae (last worn here)
Shoes: Fluevog Fellowship | Kathy (last worn here)

I love these shoes but they have some pretty noticeable scuffs on the toes. You'd be surprised how hard it is to find mauve/lilac shoe polish. HUH!

My office went out for drinks after work on Thursday. I was feeling a little UGH on Friday morning so I grabbed this new strange dress I bought at a hole in the wall store on Dundas.

June 28

Cardigan: Betsey Johnson (last worn here)
Dress: No tags from Penny Arcade Vintage
Shoes: Fluevog Bellevues | Laura Evans (last worn June 19)

This is a very weird dress. The top part is some kind of large woven fabric and then right above the bust line it changes to linen and a lot of it. There's big pleats at the top so there's tonnes of fabric in the dress.

It's a little hard to tell since it's black to I played with the exposure a bit to show what I'm trying to describe. I asked the store if they knew anything about it and they didn't but suggested that it might have been a sample dress from a local designer. It doesn't look handmade so it wasn't put together by a novice sewer.

I thought it looked pretty good with this shorty cardigan. And who doesn't love wearing their hearts on the outside.

Ok, I'm off to a Vintage Pop-up clothing show. Next post will be full of PRIDE!

Aztec Cardigan

Cardigan-Mr.Price/Shirt-Country Road/Necklace-Mr.Price/Boots-Woolworths/Bag-Givenchy
For me, there's nothing better than a long cosy cardigan on a winters day! It's the perfect piece to throw on and instantly feel warmer. I love the print on this particular one, along with the unique collar detail! It also has 'secret' pockets-which are great for keeping cold hands toasty :)
I also adore these knee high boots, the side zip detail is such a great touch to the classic black boot!

 Have a great weekend everyone!!

Juste Parfait

Jumper-Zara/Beanie-Woolworths/Boots-Cotton On/Socks-Topshop/Bag-Saint Laurent
One of my favourite things to wear in winter is a beanie, especially one with an adorable pom-pom like this one. I love the look they provide, and how quickly they can 'jazz' up any outfit :)
I'm also obsessed with this jumper, I love the oversized fit and the graphic print is so eye catching! I paired it with some studded boots complete with white frilled socks, and my royal purple YSL bag.

Hope you have an amazing day everyone!!

Navy Stripes

Jumper-Mr.Price/Jeans-Viking/Pumps-Mr.Price/Jacket-Zara/Bag-Givenchy
Navy and white is such a classic combination, especially in the form of stripes like this jumper. I love the nautical feel to this outfit, and the touches of red in the knit and on the pumps is so lovely. I absolutely adore this jumper, the graphic print is so sweet and it went perfectly with slouchy boyfriend jeans for a casual day out.

 Have an amazing week everyone!!

Unintentional disappearance

The blogging? I haven't feel feeling it lately. I feel like its forced - like I have nothing to say so I'm just rambling to fill in space. My life has fallen into a routine. Walk to work, work, walk home, either make dinner or go out to eat, flick through TV channels, go to bed around 9:30. Rinse, repeat.

I did remember to take photos most days this week though.

Tuesday, June 18

Excuse the goofy look on my face. I was really struggling to get these photos in a poorly lit boardroom. I couldn't use the kitchen because someone was having lunch. At 4pm!? Who does that?

Dress: Modcloth (apparently never worn on the blog before)
Leggings: Target
Shoes: Chelsea Crew

Look'it me being saucy and sitting on the furniture! Bad bureaucrat, BAD!

I bought these shoes at a store called Meg. They have very pretty and unique clothing. I covet many things but have not yet made any purchases other than these shoes and a pair of earrings. Maybe soon.

Cardigan: Target
Dress: Vintage (last worn here)
Shoes: Fluevog Bellevues | Laura Evans (last worn here)

I had to walk a few blocks to a meeting and these shoes were so very comfortable. I get lots of complements on them. For both those reasons these were a good purchase.

I like the cutout at the top of the dress. Makes it less matronly and more "pizzazzy" as it were.

Ooops. Cut off my head.

I wearing a Duran Duran pin, a Batman pin, and a label from a label maker that says "I AM A WINNER". Long story.

Cardigan: Value Village
Dress: Le Chateau
Shoes: Fluevog Wonders | Ayers (last worn here)

I bought this dress on a whim because I liked the colour, stripes, handkerchief hemline, and straps. It seemed like the perfect dress for hot, humid weather.

It does have a lot of fabric to it though so it's a little heavy but seeing it in pictures I think it was a good purchase.

And it is visually interesting with the stripes going in all directions. Yes, this was a good buy.

So I received the Traveling Yellow Skirt from Shelley this week. I'm trying to think of the best way to style and photograph it. I've got a few ideas so I should be done with it soon and passing it along.

To people contacting me asking for it, it's already spoken for after me. A list is soon going to be created since it has suddenly become a hot ticket item. I'll post a link to that information once it's been officially announced.
