Jacket-Zara/Blouse and Shoes-Mr.Price/Necklace-Cotton On/Bag-Saint Laurent
I love finishing off an all black outfit with a bold pop of colour, that's why this bag is perfect for that exact reason! I adore how it stands out against the neutral palette of the rest of the outfit :) This jacket is amazing, the fit is perfect to me- the waterfall effect is my absolute favourite fit in any jacket so of course this one sits high up on my 'love' list!
Just a quick outfit post today, the sun was shining SO brightly in these pictures-it almost made me feel like it was summer!
I fell hopelessly in love with this boyfriend coat when I saw it, I love the speckled black detail and the fit is so similar to a blazer-which makes it so easy to wear! I paired it with an all black outfit (simple and casual) consisting of my leatherette shorts and a slouchy black sweater, and finished off the look with my Céline :) Just an easy casual outfit, for a sunny winter's day!
Howdie internets. How's it going? I had a nice weekend away and now I'm back into the old routine. Work, dinner, sleep, repeat. I did have one little glitch along the way. About 3 years ago, when I went off the birth control pill, I finally learned the reality that is P....M....S. I had a little crying episode and melt down Monday night. Then as quickly as it came on, it disappeared. Gotta say, it's pretty horrible!
Despite that, I enjoy being a girl...
I enjoy being a girl because I like wearing pretty things.
Here's my new hair, sans red. It's been 6 years since I had it put in. And the two times I had red put in here in Toronto it just faded to pink. So until I find a place who can do it properly I'll just stick with one colour.
Unfortunately this is BLACK, not dark brown. *sigh*
This weekend I went to see a production of The Mikado. I've seen it a bunch of times and can practically sing along. Anyway, the actress who played Katisha was Jean Stilwell who is a Canadian opera singer. Right now her hair is very similar to mine.
The next day, I went to another concert and a woman approached me and said "You sang beautifully last night". HAHAHAHHA! Totally awesome.
You know what else is awesome?
Kitty cat shoes!!! MEOW!! Sometimes Irregular Choice shoes can be over the top but I couldn't resist these.
And I couldn't resist this dress on Modcloth.
August 7
With my love of red, you'd think I've had a gazillion red dresses but I really only have 1 and it's wool.
Dress: Folter from Modcloth Shoes: Miss L Fire (last worn here)
It's a very comfortable dress but again, my stupid long waist means that the waist of the dress sits at the bottom of my ribs. Not totally annoying though.
Hangs pretty well, no?
The "piece de resistance" was really this bracelet, also from Modcloth.
Spooky! I wore my skull earrings too.
I'm watching the movie Brave right now...see you tomorrow.
Coat-Zara/Sweater and Pumps-Mr.Price/Beanie-Aldo/Bag-Céline
I think that a beanie is the perfect winter accessory, in fact I think it's a great accessory any time! I absolutely love this one, the soft baby pink colour is just SO pretty and I adore how well it went with my grey sweater and black Zara coat! It added a girly touch to an otherwise plain outfit, and it offset the sequins in the sweater perfectly.
Just a few quick snapshots, I've been loving pastel and pink nails lately-it's perfect to cheer up a winter's day! And I'm completely obsessed with some new buys too- I love statement necklaces and tee's so of course I had to buy some lovely necklaces from Mr.Price, and a few graphic tee's that I'm itching to wear :) Hope you're having a wonderful weekend! You can find me here on Instagram if you'd like:)
Another week, another catch up post. I thought when I got my couch I'd be all over the blogging again but I've just turned into a potato instead. So here I am doing an "omnibus post" again. And it's a long weekend for us so I'll be away until next Tuesday. I can't believe it's August already!
July 26
I think my face says it all. This outfit was boring. I was wearing a belt earlier but I had a roti for lunch which made me all "bloaty" so I took it off. Dress: thrifted Shoes: Fluevog Truth | Pilgrim (last worn here) Yeah, pretty underwhelming. I might put this dress in my donate pile. That would help free up some space in my closet.
July 29 On Monday I wore my bat dress. Ok, it's not really a bat dress but I think the embroidery at the bottom looks like flying bats.
